The month of May will soon roll in and with it comes a host of new and exciting programmes on HELLO! JAPAN, channel 149 on Starhub Cable Vision.

SPEC
 – First and Exclusive Brand New Drama (Every Saturday - Premieres 17 May 2014 at 8pm) 

Synopsis:

There are those hidden among us in this world who possess special talents (SPEC) against which no ordinary power nor rational mind can measure up to or comprehend. Should even a tiny percentage of these extremely gifted individuals choose to bend their talents to malevolent use, the potential for great destruction is immense.  But what if the governments of many nations have been aware of this threat and are already engaged in a clandestine war of superhuman dimensions? They would certainly then have at their disposal elite teams of detectives capable of going to extraordinary lengths to confront and defeat such superhuman SPEC criminals. This is their story.

Dear My Cosmo 
– Exclusive Premiere (Premieres 25 May 2014 at 9.10pm) 

Synopsis:

Based on a true story of a blind hose and a horseback girl

Kanae Kikuchi is a sophomore, belonging to the horsemanship club at Sanbongi Agricultural High School in Japan. In the club, she has to take care of the “toughest” horse named Cosmo who has poor eyesight with a strong mistrust for humans. Obviously, it’s a difficult task for anyone to gentle her and Kanae feels weary of taking care of her in the back of her mind.  One day, when she takes Cosmo out for a walk, Cosmo suddenly rages around. Cosmo becomes very nervous when she steps even on tiny dents on the road. Kanae then learns that Cosmo has completely lost her eyesight and realizes how hard for Cosmo to live blind as a horse. Then, she changes her mind to spend most of her time with Cosmo. With Kanae’s tender care, Cosmo gradually opens herself to Kanae. Before Kanae enters the last equine competition event in the school, she makes a surprising decision to participate in it with Cosmo! Don’t miss this heart-warming and endearing movie.

Risa , a tall Japanese girl, gets rejected by a boy because she is taller than him. Otani , a short Japanese guy, gets rejected by a girl because he is shorter than her. Obviously these two would make the oddest of couples and would never be a good match for each other right? Well love doesn’t always follow such logic as Love Complex shows.
